For the past year, venturing into public places to hunt for neglected timepieces has been a serious challenge. Luckily a few resources were still available to find these lost horological treasures.
This big and beautiful Omega was found in decent shape. It was given a good once over and didn't dissapoint after 99 years of existance.
The longevity of these century old timepieces is something to behold: even before its overhaul we gave it a wind-up and test drive and it kept time within the minute. The only thing that did need replacing was the dial which was too far gone to clean and restore. A proper porcelain dial replacement was used and this watch was good as new.
Its a testament to a time when objects were built with quality and made to last. This one is for a new steward that likes watches on the larger side. Its got a great feel and a unique look.
